1. Obtain a valid, recent, criminal record and vulnerable sector check

    If you already have one, that’s great! We can accept it as long as it is not older than 6 months. If you do not have one yet, click here: Regina Police Service. Follow the instructions to get a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check for volunteers. The Regina Police Service will ask you for a letter from us to confirm that you need this document. Click here: Generic Confirmation Letter, this is the letter you will provide to the Regina Police Service.

    Note: You must be aged 21 or older to obtain to a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check online. Persons aged 18 years or older can receive a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check in-person by booking an appointment online. Appointments are extremely limited, please check frequently for available appointments.

  2. Complete and submit the volunteer form

    Once completed, please send this form to volunteers@searchhealthclinic.ca.

    Note: If you are attending SEARCH as part of a course requirement, please fill out the Volunteer Form for Class Credit as well.

  3. Proof of enrolment in a post-secondary institution

    Scroll down to the post-secondary institution you are currently enrolled in. Follow and complete the outlined steps associated with your institution.

  4. Attend orientation

    Visit our shift scheduler to sign up for an orientation.

  5. Submit ALL YOUR DOCUMENTS prior to your first shift

Sign up for EHE 001 on URSelfService

If the add/drop date for classes has passed, email Twyla at Twyla.Salm@uregina.ca with your full legal name, date of birth, student number, faculty of study, and intent to sign up for the course.

After you register for EHE 001 and the add/drop period has ended, you must complete orientation and attend one shift. This is necessary to avoid a “Not Complete” or “Withdrawl” in EHE 001.

Note: This is a non-credit, free course. It does not have assignments or requirements aside from volunteering with SEARCH.

Volunteer Login

All students must sign up on the SEARCH online scheduler to attend clinic shifts. Shifts fill up fast so be sure to sign up early to avoid disappointment. Please note that students must complete all orientation requirements before their first shift.
