Jessica

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jessica has a Bachelor in Kinesiology and a Bachelor in Health Studies from the University of Regina. She has experience working in primary health care, quality improvement, and the fitness industry. In Jessica’s free time she enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and spending time with friends and family.

She began volunteering at SEARCH in 2016. She previously held the Faculty Liaison and Volunteer Retention Chairperson and Alumni Member positions on the Board of Directors. Recently, she has stepped into the role as Executive Director of SEARCH. She hopes to revitalize SEARCH and bring forth meaningful and reliable program delivery to our clients.

Genevieve

CHAIR

Genevieve is a third-year medical student at the University of Saskatchewan, Regina Campus. She has been an active volunteer with SEARCH since July 2023. As chair, Genevieve aims to bring fresh energy to the work done by SEARCH in the North Central community. She hopes to use her previous experience where she worked with a charity to provide food, clothing, and shelter to those struggling with poverty and homelessness. Genevieve aspires to a career in obstetrics and gynaecology and is currently involved in research at the University of Saskatchewan. She holds a M.Eng in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Toronto and a B.Sc in Molecular Biology and Genetics from McMaster University. In her spare time she enjoys hiking and spending time with friends.

Elie

SECRETARY

Elie has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Regina and is currently working towards attending law school. Elie hopes to assist in providing meaningful action within the community as the Secretary of the Board of Directors. She has experience working in an administrative role through her time in the immigration sector and hopes to use her experience to support SEARCH in any way that she can.

In her free time she enjoys travelling, cooking, and being outdoors.

Sarim

TREASURER

Sarim Uddin is currently in his first year at the University of Regina, where he is studying for a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. Fueled by a profound desire to serve others, Sarim is charting a course towards medical school. His goal is to deepen his impact within the healthcare industry, driven by a commitment to enhance community well-being. Sarim’s commitment extends beyond the classroom. He is actively involved in community service, volunteering with various organizations , including SHA, RYFL, and MAS. His work with these groups not only supports locals but also strengthens his leadership and interpersonal skills. In his leisure time, Sarim is a passionate football fan, enjoying games with his friends. He also engages in stock trading, honing his analytical skills and understanding of the financial markets. When not involved in sports or stock trading, Sarim loves spending quality time and traveling with his family, creating memorable experiences.

Andreea

PROGRAMMING CHAIRPERSON

Andreea Ababei (she/her) is a first-year medical student at the University of Saskatchewan and has a Bachelor of Science with High Honours in Psychology from the University of Regina. She began volunteering at SEARCH in 2021 and has really enjoyed working with a wonderful team and learning about holistic health care.

As the Programming Chair on the SEARCH Board of Directors, she works to plan and implement a wide range of social and health-related programs within the clinic. Andreea also works to increase client engagement and participation in the clinic by introducing programs that target a diverse demographic population within our community.

In her spare time, she enjoys going on walks, riding her bike, and playing various sports!

Tyler

FACULTY LIAISON & VOLUNTEER RETENTION CHAIRPERSON

Tyler is a master’s student at the University of Regina studying Kinesiology. Currently, his focus is on Multiple Sclerosis research and exercise intervention. He is working towards medical school after he completes his degree in the hopes of helping the community in a greater capacity through healthcare. Along with school, Tyler also spends his time volunteering at other organizations across the city, specifically with youth programming at organizations such as Regina YFC. In his free time, he enjoys playing board games with family, basketball with friends, and playing the piano.

Tyler is excited to continue his role as faculty liaison and volunteer retention chair. Over the past year of volunteering, he appreciated SEARCH's positive impact on the Regina community and wants to help others get involved in volunteering within the community. Tyler is looking forward to growing the volunteer base with students who are excited to get involved.

Amal

POLICY CHAIRPERSON

Amal holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration majoring in Human Resource Management and is currently pursuing a degree in Social Work from the University of Regina. She began volunteering with SEARCH this year and appreciates the positive change the organization creates in Regina. As Policy Chairperson, she hopes to continue to make positive changes in the organization through updating policies and creating new policies that support the growth of SEARCH.

In her free time, Amal enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and binge watching television shows.

Aamina

COMMUNITY LIAISON & PUBLIC RELATIONS CHAIRPERSON

Aamina Tauqeer (she/her) is a third year psychology student at the University of Regina in the faculty of science. She is passionate about helping others and advocating for marginalized groups to recieve adequate support and equal access to resources and opportunities. Having volunteered with SEARCH sincce 2022, she has seen the positive impact it has on the community, and is eager to step into this position as a way to play a bigger role in helping SEARCH’s mission.

Aamina spends her time volunteering with various other organizations around the city as well. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball, reading, and enjoying nature as much as possible!

David

CLINICAL LIAISON CHAIRPERSON

David Nnamdi (he/him) is currently in his final year of medical school from the Ivano-Frankivsk National Medical University, Ukraine. He is currently working full time with assisting primary health care providers in the North Central network of the Saskatchewan Health Authority.

He has experience volunteering in several non-profit boards and has found a call of duty in clinical administration, patient care advocacy for vulnerable and neglected communities, and addressing disparities in health outcomes.

When he is not studying or working, he enjoys playing the piano, creating art pieces, having conversations with people, or researching interesting topics.

He is excited to join the board as Clinical Liaison Chairperson where he hopes to contribute to the amazing impact SEARCH already has on the Regina community.

Chinedu

UNIVERSITY OF REGINA REPRESENTATIVE &

COMMUNITY LIAISON & PUBLIC RELATIONS COMMITTEE MEMBER

Chinedu is currently studying Business Administration at the University of Regina. He has always had passion for community health and wellbeing, and has been involved in community medical programs back in Nigeria. He is excited to have the opportunity to do the same here in Regina, as a volunteer with SEARCH. In the future, he hopes to blend his administrative ability with his love for healthcare.

He is happy to take up the role of the representative of University of Regina in SEARCH board and a member of the community liason and public relations committee.

In his free time, he loves writing books, creating content, watching WWE orlistening to music.
